Originally developed exclusively for the aerospace industry, Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 is a unique anti-corrosion sealant that is designed to provide the best possible protection from the harshest of environments. It is organically modified and bonded with acrylic crystalline at a nano-tech scale which allows it to molecularly bond to the surface.
One of the main features of the product is that it can be used on a wide variety of materials including paint, fibreglass, aluminium, chrome and even painted plastics. This means that when sealing the exterior of your vehicle you do not have to switch between different products for different areas, instead using Jetseal 109 not only to seal your paintwork, but to also seal other parts like your wheels and exhaust pipes for example.
Chemical Guys advises that you apply two coats of Chemical Guys Jetseal 109 to ensure proper coverage and to deliver the best possible results from the product. Unlike other synthetic sealants that have to be left to cure for considerable amounts of time, Jetseal 109 has ‘rapid bonding acceleration’ technology which means that it only has to be left on the surface to cure for 15 minutes and can be reapplied after only 20-30 minutes.
If applied properly in thin, even coats the sealant is very easy to buff off with a good quality micro fibre towel and will not leave behind any stubborn residue or smears. It can easily and safely be applied with a dual action polishing machine on a low setting to help speed the process up and give a uniform, even application. Once buffed off, Jetseal 109 leaves a wet look and noticeably enhances gloss, especially on darker colours. The sealant gives a superb level of protection for a number of months before a reapplication of the product is needed.
