Designed to be a tough protective paint sealant, Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection contains a complex blend of hard resins and waxes. It is suitable for use on all types of paint finishes including metallic, clear coat, single stage and water based. The sealant contains no cleaning or polishing agents whatsoever and so should only be used on fully prepared paintwork.
Ideally, Extra Gloss Protection should be used after paintwork has been polished with either Autoglym’s Ultra Deep Shine, or Super Resin Polish in order to achieve optimum results, as this this how the sealant was specifically designed to be used. If used this way, it will help to enhance gloss, especially on darker colours and add a wetness to the finish on lighter colours.
Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection has a thin liquid consistency and should be applied to the paintwork with a soft sponge applicator pad. It should be used sparingly as it can prove to be difficult to remove if over applied. This is also the case if the sealant is applied during hot weather and so should only be used in cool conditions to prevent it from easily baking onto the surface.
The sealant takes some time to fully cure in comparison to other similar products and so should only be buffed off after it has fully dried to a haze. After buffing, the resultant finish Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection leaves is excellent especially when used in conjunction with Super Resin Polish or Ultra Deep Shine. A great feature of the sealant is that it can easily be layered to provide a greater level of durability, although layering will not tend to add any more to the finish.
Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection is a high quality sealant that, when used correctly gives outstanding results. It goes a long way due to its liquid make up, noticeably enhances gloss and provides a protective barrier to paintwork that will give months of durability, especially when used alongside Autoglym’s paintwork polishing products.
